‘Keep It Made in America’ bus tour set for Tuesday rally at Wyoming City Hall

WYOMING –The “Keep It Made in America” national bus tour will stop at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Wyoming City Hall, 1155 28th St. SW, spotlighting the General Motors Corp. stamping plant that will close in June.

Participants include automotive suppliers, including steel, iron, glass, plastics and rubber, aluminum and parts. They are expected to join with community members and elected officials.

The stop is part of an 11-state, 34-city tour sponsored by the Alliance for American Manufacturing, the Mayors and Municipalities Automotive Coalition, and the United Steelworkers.

At 3 p.m. Tuesday, a public rally will be staged by the Save American Jobs and Communities coalition. Participants, including workers from the GM plant, plus community leaders, educators, and church representatives, who will gather at United Auto Workers Local 730 hall, 3852 Buchanan Ave. SW. The rally members are calling for support of American manufacturing as an issue of national security.
